Barbarossa embodies the best qualities of the modern dressage horse; well bred, built and started, he’s ready to start his exceptional career! Exquisitely bred as the son of Belucci, he carries on his sire’s sweet and gentle personality as well as inheriting power and step. Very correctly started, he’s talented enough for a professional to add to their string, but will shine for an amateur! Perfect prospect for the amateur whose always wanted to bring their own young horse along. Quiet, easygoing, gentle, friendly and forgiving he’s also light, forward and easy to ride with comfortable gaits. Everything about Barbarossa is light and uphill; light off the ground, correct and soft into the hand, responsive and forward from the leg. Naturally balanced, with three lovely gaits (his canter is to die for!) that show good loft and natural suspension. Solid at Training level, starting some 1st level work. Very teachable, quick to learn, loves his job! Handled since birth, he’s people-orientated and very sweet with a puppy-dog personality. Quick to settle into new places, has been out and about to some local outings and handles himself like a pro. Good to fences, with a consistent rhythm. Lofty air time and good use with his body over a fence but as he’s green he’s still figuring out where his legs go; shows potential! Sound, healthy, UTD, hacks out alone or in company, hauls.
