Kyle Carter said it best when he said ‘I’d put kids on him all day long – he’s cute, fun, safe, and teachable’. Harvey represents what a successful back-yard breeding operation should achieve: a sound, sensible, correctly started partner that loves to work and is athletic in any discipline. Originally bred with the goal of developing a pony Jumper, his sire side is a very correct champion Welsh/TB, the dam is a Heinz 57 of impeccable character. Unfortunately for the pony jumpers, Harvey is too tall – so a career change to eventing and dressage is now resulting in fabulous finishes and devoted fan club wherever he goes.

Super smart and teachable, he’s a problem solver when it comes to exercises and questions. Excellent results through the .95 meter classes with auto changes. His easy-to-ride effort in the air is confidence building for young and developing riders. Bold and happy to natural fences, he has taken to XC like a house on fire and thinks galloping through the fields and popping over banks/ditches/and water is the best thing ever. Has evented through Novice with great results, and could do Training. Straightforward to ride on the flat, good into the bridle. Light off the leg; schooling leg yield, shoulder in, etc. Could do very well as a dressage horse; big rolling walk, balanced forward trot, round canter with plenty of jump. Recently scored 68% at Training level with a Junior rider!

Super sound, hand raised his whole life, no baggage or issues. You can ride him bareback in the field with a halter and lead, great on trails. An absolute joy to be around, he’s one of those horses you look forward to riding every day and that brings a smile to your face! He has a devoted fan club wherever he goes; you’re sure to be noticed on this charmer! You can’t trust him with clothes on though – he is an un-dresser.
